Potential Projects
This list needs lots of work! The top level bullets should become level 3 headings, ... Need about a paragraph for each heading. NEED more links! Soon! We are making progress but a lot of work is still needed.

But I don't have an XO
Running sugar on a conventional laptop or desktop.
There are several ways to do it. We need to try them all and prepare installation guides.
- LiveCD
- on real hardware
- in a VM (Qemu, Virtual Box, Xen, VMware, etc.)
- Ubuntu - Gutsy and Hardy Packages
- sugar_jhbuild for developers
Exhibit space
- an XO
- Sugar on a laptop
- How To guide from "But I don't have an XO" project (when it is done).
- Student Work
- Sensors
Group Explorations
- Shared Activities and "White board"
Etoys
The etoys activity is similar to Starlogo TNG, except:
- it does not require 3D graphics acceleration
- it runs on the XO hardware
It uses the "Block" method of programming. It is built on Squeak/Smalltalk instead of Starlogo/Java.
Activity Development
I was initially exploring the memory activity and was impressed with the ability to match text and multimedia objects, numbers and expressions, words and definitions, words and pictures, etc.
And what if we connected it to a dictionary.
- A regular dictionary
- A picture dictionary
- A multilingual dictionary
- a wiki based dictionary
Someone suggested looking at OmegaWiki
And what if if dynamically assigned student skill levels and word difficulties dynamically similar to freerice.com
